Mata Mata: A New Era is the second installment of the trilogy and will explore post-independent Singapore in the 1970s; a time where the nation saw great transformation and change. Seen through the eyes of police officers, the series continues to explore the psyche, emotional personal experiences, trials and tribulations of the force in the late ’60s to the ’70s.
In addition to the criminal cases that are inspired by true events, there will also be a key storyline revolving around Margaret Chin (played by Rebecca Lim) as she slowly uncovers the truth about her family history. Will blood be thicker than water, or will justice prevail?
